Mar. 4th, 2022 04:22 pmThe Iron Bull's in-game model is, I think, about 6'6", but I've gotten the impression he was intended to be taller before coding issues and time might have interfered, so in situations where I'm allowed to indulge myself I put him around 7'6". Either way you'd like to play it is fine.
Broad shoulders, broad trunk, thick core, lots of strength training that'll be obvious because he's almost never wearing a shirt, even if it's very cold. Dark brown-ish/black horns, cragged and knotted like tree bark, go straight out from his head, parallel to his shoulders, for a little over a foot on each side. They stretch a little less than the width of his shoulders before bending up and back and thinning to sharp points, and the skin on the top of his head between them is bare with the same dark color and bark-like texture. The back of his head is shaved smooth, and his chin and upper lip are covered in black stubble. His ears and chin are both long and pointed, his nose likewise with a long, flattened-looking tip and his cheekbones are strong and low. His right eye is that indeterminate grey or maybe greenish-blue whose exact shade is kind of hard to pin down and the spot where his left used to be is usually covered by an eyepatch. (For situations when it isn't, the closest we've got to a canon image of that part of his face is an image from the side, here.)
His skin is grey and covered in scars going in every direction and I'm going to go ahead and list the major ones here partly just to see if I can. If you'd like to just say he's got scars everywhere that he's got skin and be done with it feel free to skip this whole next paragraph.
So: There are a couple parallel puckered ones about a foot apart from his right shoulder going unevenly down diagonally across the shoulder, the bottom of his right pectoral, and down near the bottom of his ribs, and an indented scar going straight down underneath the middle of his right pectoral. He has one puckered scar diagonally from the inside of his left pectoral and one almost horizontal a little below that on his ribs, another indented one going diagonally down toward his left hip, another couple of indented ones diagonal over the middle and the bottom of his sternum, another indented one going diagonally a few inches down the center of his belly and disappearing under his belt, a couple pale, smooth ones in a diagonal line down his right shoulder and the back of his bicep, a curving, deeply indented one moving down the front of his right shoulder, another slightly less indented one a few inches behind that, and yet another indented one curving from his right elbow to the front left side of his forearm near his wrist. He has about twelve mostly-shorter ones of all types going in different directions across his back and a small, indented one on the righthand side of the back of his head. His face has two narrow, smooth scars moving diagonally down from his right cheekbone near his nose, and another smooth and narrow one down from near the bottom lefthand side of his nose over the lefthand corner of his upper lip. His eyepatch has three scars moving diagonally from his brow into the top of his eyepatch, and one smooth, squiggly scar and one longer indented one moving out from the eyepatch's left side. His left hand's ring and pinky fingers are cut off a little past the middle knuckle, and his right hand has a puckered scar on the side near his thumb, from near his index finger's bottom knuckle diagonally over to the index finger's metacarpal.
There are lots of other little ones, including what looks like a couple high up on his left pectoral that are mostly covered up. But I think those are the main ones. Going to call that a success.
